blossom can fall in the meadow

this is a before picture........sitting in comfort with a meadow spread over me i arranged the fence
an some grass along the top line an when anything escapes it will linger in fabric time only.  the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence except here where its at its greenest in the meadow.
Lilly's good shepherd finds the way to sit in the gate where the sheep go out to their pastureland, i think.  all safely grazing stock linger where the grass is green anyway an a few cloud-like sheep may well find their way in........

set up for sewing

will it be a cherry tree when it grows up, i wonder? or is this apple or almond blossom?  white blossom in a violet sky...
i remembered the hoop yesterday as i began to sew and a few of the blossoms fell off.  dabs of glue hold them in place. an in my lace box i found some strong white thread..,it may be for crochet an is also used for making lace. cordonnet mercer 80 colour 01, 10g.
an maybe i'll sew an listen to a cd an its Father's Day tomorrow.

Lilly's cover

here is the meadow so far, complete with blossom tree an violet sky.  i found an article that shows me
how to make a cover rather than a quilt so the next step would be to make the backing an to sew on
all the blossom.

ideas are taking shape as i make a new quilt. i am calling it my Eden quilt an for the centre piece i am using the Garden of Eden block from the book 200 quilt blocks by Davina Thomas.

it is bright, that's true but my heart is in it an we will come through. this board is a drawing/painting board from way back. an i will show you the blocks as i make them.
